On Sunday air quality conditions remained poor throughout Butte County.

Unhealthy to very unhealthy air quality is forecast in the foothills, according to an air quality advisory from the Butte County Air Quality Management District Air Pollution Control Officer.

According to the advisory, there may be improved air quality for some areas on the valley floor, but unhealthy for sensitive groups to unhealthy conditions are expected based on fire behavior and wind movement.

NSPR’s Sarah Bohannon spoke with Lisa Almaguer, Butte County Communications Manager, about current air quality conditions and how those in the area can stay safe.
