Redding police have named 25-year-old Robert Joseph Pasillas as the prime suspect in a fatal shooting that occurred Tuesday.
Officers were called to a home on Douglas Lane in the south end of town at about 6:30 on reports of a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was pronounced dead at a local hospital. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Pasillas was described as a Native American man with black hair and brown eyes. He is five foot eight and weighs 165 pounds. A photograph distributed by authorities shows a man with distinctive neck tattoos and a tattoo over his left eyebrow.
