Hope Hines : In Hines' Sight - The Ups, Downs, And Rebounds Of 40 Years In Sports Broadcasting

 

 

After 40 years as a television sportscaster and winner of six broadcast Emmys, Hope Hines wrote a memoir about his life in the sports world and beyond.  Along the way he met a young Oprah Winfrey just starting her career in television, football stars, golf greats, and he covered Muhammed Ali's boxing championship in Zaire.  

Nancy Wiegman has a master's degree in French linguistics from Indiana University and taught yoga and foreign languages at CSU Fresno and the College of Charleston before moving to Chico in 1990.
