PG&E To Host Townhall For Residents Of Shasta, Tehama, Lassen And Glenn Counties
PG&E is kicking off the first of many virtual town halls it will host about this year’s upcoming wildfire season. PG&E spokesperson Paul Moreno said the event is aimed at residents of Shasta, Tehama, Lassen and Glenn counties.
“Because we’re going to be talking about, you know, specific projects we've done in those areas and we're also going to be talking about how we have more community resource centers available,” he said.
Resource centers are locations where people can charge electronic devices or access cooler temperatures during a public safety power shutoff (PSPS). PG&E will also discuss equipment upgrades, how the company is planning for shorter PSPS events and vegetation management efforts.
The event takes place from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 31. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback. Visit pge.com/firesafetywebinars for instructions on how to join online or call into the event.
