A Chico area transient has been arrested after being linked to at least 15 Chico burglaries of schools, churches and businesses.
According to a press release from the Chico Police Department, 28-year-old Kyle Jacob Hubbard was arrested around 3 in the afternoon Monday near East Avenue and Coleman Court.
Police came to view Hubbard as a suspect after he was positively identified in an image a surveillance system took during the burglary of a downtown restaurant and from a fingerprint left at the scene of a burglarized church.
The weeks-long Chico police investigation will continue as officers follow up with each of the cases. Police urge the public to continue to be aware and report suspicious activity around schools and churches as they’re unsure if there may have been others involved.
