Dan Irving is a sixth-generation San Franciscan. He graduated from San Francisco State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. It is Dan's hope that the publication of 'Heart of the Poppy' will inspire more groups and young people to get out of their comfort zone, travel to a third world country, and provide needed services while having the adventure of a lifetime.
