The body of a Thermalito teen who went missing on the Feather River last week was found this weekend. According to the Chico Enterprise-Record, the boy’s body was found Sunday near a part of the river that receives water from the Afterbay.
The boy was floating down river with friends last Wednesday when water near that area became rough and the group reportedly lost control of their rafts. The others were able to get to shore or were rescued.
None of the teens were wearing life jackets. The name of the deceased is not expected to be released by the Butte County Sheriff’s Office.
