An unknown incident at Corning High School this morning has drawn police to the school, which has been locked down.

Students have been told to shelter in place.

Calls to the high school and superintendent went unanswered.

Calls to the California Highway Patrol and the Tehama County Sheriff’s office were referred to Corning Police, who offered little information. A dispatcher said authorities are going room to room to ‘clear’ the school. The dispatcher declined to confirm or deny if any shots were fired.
