This is NSPR’s weekday show about the local and regional effects of COVID-19 in the North State. Listen each weekday at 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 a.m. NSPR will continue this special coverage as long as our community needs it. Our mission with this show is to provide accurate news and information about COVID-19 for the North State.
Today, we’ll head to Chico where organized nurses and healthcare workers held a candlelight vigil Wednesday evening to demand protections when treating COVID-19 patients. We’ll hear from a history professor about past pandemics and what we might be able to learn from them. Also, we visit Paradise where Kim Weir and a rapping raccoon remind us that a good way to use this time of isolation is to prepare your home for fire season.
If you have questions or story ideas for this show let us know on our message line at 433-9216 or go to our website at mynspr.org.
For Thursday, April 23, 2020 This is special coverage from North State Public Radio.
