This is NSPR’s weekday show about the local and regional effects of COVID-19 in the North State. Listen each weekday at 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 a.m. NSPR will continue this special coverage as long as our community needs it. Our mission with this show is to provide accurate news and information about COVID-19 for the North State.
Today we’ll look into how a rodeo that happened over the weekend delayed Shasta County’s ability to re-open businesses in Stage 2 of California Governor Gavin Newsom’s 4-stage plan and we’ll continue diving into antibody testing and learn more about the picture that’s developing from this type of testing at Chico’s Immediate Care Medical Center.
*Editors note: During the production of this program, Shasta County's local variance attestation was approved by the state. As of Tuesday they were one of seven counties that the state says have met certain criteria in containing COVID-19 and can consider advancing quicker through Stage 2.
