Butte County officials announced the arrest of a man in connection with an unsolved murder that occurred in 1991.
The Sheriff’s office announced Monday that 55-year-old Richard Pyle was taken into custody in Stockton Thursday in connection with the disappearance and suspected murder of Tracy Zandstra.
The two were romantically involved and living together in Stirling City when the 29-year-old Zandstra disappeared. Although her body was never found, according to the Sheriff’s office, detectives did find evidence showing Zandstra was murdered and her body disposed of.
