No Leads In Missing Baby Case, Shasta County Sheriff Says

Social media reports that missing infant Ember Graham has been found are false. Shasta County Sheriff Tom Bosenko told the Redding Record Searchlight Wednesday that the search for the missing 6-month-old has been suspended and there are no new leads in the case.

Following the death of Ember’s father, Mathew Graham, who died in a hail of bullets Monday in Dunsmuir, Bosenko says that Ember may never be found.

Mathew Graham, who was the prime suspect in Ember’s disappearance, carjacked a vehicle Monday morning in Shasta Lake with a gun he had stolen from his mother on Saturday. With help from On-Star, he was tracked to a residential neighborhood in Dunsmuir where he was killed after a gun fight with law enforcement. Siskiyou County Sheriff John Lopey said Tuesday that there were 58 officers from various agencies involved in the search effort. Thirteen fired on Graham. Those 13 officers have been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation.
