Redding Store Clerk Cited For Selling Alcohol To Minor In Decoy

A 56-year-old store clerk was cited during a decoy operation in Redding Tuesday night. Redding police say that Tarsem Singh, a clerk at Stumpy’s Liquor Store on Victor Avenue, was cited for selling alcohol to a minor and will face a minimum fine of $250 and/or up to 32 hours of community service. The state Alcohol Beverage Control agency will also take administrative action against the business, which could face a fine or suspension of its license. Officers conducted the decoy operation at several locations, but were only successful at the one location.
