Shasta County is set to hold a mass drive-up COVID-19 vaccination clinic this Saturday at Benton Airpark in Redding.
The clinic is for in-home supportive services providers and community health workers.
Public Health Officer Dr. Karen Ramstrom says officials will ask for identification and proof of employment.
“It’s our first drive-up clinic, and we’re hoping to learn a lot and be able to scale those up and have both drive-up and other indoor mass vaccination clinics,” Ramstrom said.
Ramstrom says county and state officials are working through plans to start vaccinating all people who are 65 years old and older.
She says one of the main constraints is vaccine supply. County vaccine information can be found at ShastaReady.org.
