Tonight, we’ll get an update on the effects of the virus in Butte County from District 2 Supervisor Debra Lucero. We’ll hear how a group of community members are using 3-D printing technology to make face shields for local medical workers and we’ll take a trip to Paradise and check-in with Kim Weir to see what she’s been doing to cope through the pandemic.

We hear from a Chico Enterprise-Record reporter about staff’s concerns at Enloe Medical Center about not having enough personal protective equipment during this pandemic, and we check in on the business community in Redding.

We’ll also answer some of the questions you’ve submitted this week and we hear from a Chico State librarian and archivist who's asking you to become a COVID-19 diarist and document your experience during this pandemic.

Tonight, we check in on how schools in rural areas are staying connected with their students, we hear from a medical worker who five years ago helped fight Ebola and is now helping battle COVID-19 in the small community of Round Mountain and in Redding, and we’ll hear a pleading message from a Chico doctor that’s trending on social media about how you can play a role in keeping him and his family safe.

Tonight, we’re focusing on checking into some of the most vulnerable residents to COVID-19 in the North State – those who are homeless and those who are in jail. We’ll also answer some of your questions and we’ll follow up about the first death in the North State due to the virus that happened yesterday in Shasta County.

Tonight, we head to Butte County and hear from Butte County Public Health Officer Andy Miller about the two positive confirmed cases of novel coronavirus that were announced there over the weekend. Also, NSPR’s Dave Schlom speaks with Jared Caylor, superintendent of the Corning Union High School District about his perspective on what’s involved with closing a school and how they’re moving forward.

Tonight, we’ll discuss Governor Gavin Newsom’s order yesterday for all Californians to “stay home,” we’ll take a look at the predicated rates of spread and the hospital capacity in the North State should those numbers come to fruition and we’ll hear from local groups and organizations in the region who are hustling to provide delivery services for those at high risk who are hunkered down in their homes.
