Today we’re joined by Chico gospel/folk trio, MaMuse. Led by multi-instrumentalist songwriters, Sarah Nutting and Karisha Longaker, and with percussion provided by Mike Wofchuck, MaMuse has been writing and performing around the Chico area for the last 10 years. Sarah and Karisha are also familiar to the NPR national airwaves. In 2012, the musicians won 1stplace in the Prairie Home Companion duet contest, and even performed on the show. Sarah and Karisha’s songwriting conveys a deep connection with nature and community, and the band favors intimate spaces with attentive crowds over noisy bars or night clubs as performance venues. Sarah is currently in production of her debut solo album, Wild Belonging.
