Drivers using State Route 299 East of Weaverville should allow some extra travel time for the rest of the work week. Caltrans says impending storms have prompted emergency work aimed at reducing the risk of a landslide. Drivers can expect one-way traffic controls and 20 to 25 minute delays in the Buckhorn Grade area, about halfway between Whiskeytown Lake and Weaverville. Work continues from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. through Friday.
