The body of a man who vanished while kayaking on Lake Oroville more than two weeks ago was recovered by authorities yesterday afternoon.
The Butte County Sheriff's Office announced that the remains of Paradise resident Derek Nielsen were recovered by search and rescue teams. Nielsen vanished June 5 after putting in near the Lime Saddle area.
