Weather Advisory Issued For Shasta County Due To Thunderstorm

The National Weather Service has issued a Significant Weather Advisory due to a strong thunderstorm cell moving slowly north easterly through western Shasta County. The storm is producing large amounts of hail, up to half an inch in diameter and is accompanied by winds of up to 30 miles per hour. Residents of the City of Shasta Lake, Igo, Whiskeytown, Lakehead and Sugarloaf should be prepared for heavy rain, high winds and hail. The advisory remains active until 3:45
