Drivers can expect delays along State Route 44 between Shingletown and Viola starting today, as Caltrans begins repaving 10 miles of highway.
Expect up to 15 minute delays due to one-way traffic controls. The new pavement, made from ‘rubberized asphalt’ is supposed to last longer and make for a quieter ride.
The work is expected to wrap up by the end of August.
