The Trinity River will run considerably higher and faster Sunday afternoon through Thursday, as officials up releases from Lewiston Dam sixfold.
The higher water is to accommodate the Hoopa Valley Tribe’s upcoming Boat Dance Ceremony in Hoopa.
Officials with the Department of Water Resources urge those recreating along the river to take appropriate precautions.
