NSPR Operating At Reduced Power

Update 1 p.m. Tues. Dec. 3

NSPR is back operating at full power.

Update 1 p.m. Wed. Nov. 27.

NSPR's transmitter in Chico has iced over in last night's storm. Because of that, we're operating at far-reduced power. Until the weather warms, NSPR will be operating on low power.

PG&E has restored power to the Redding area and our transmitter there is operating again at full power.

Thank you for your patience.

Update 7:20 a.m. Wed. Nov. 27.

Because of effects of the major winter storm that hit northern California overnight, North State Public Radio is off the air at both its Chico and Redding transmitters.

In Redding, there is a PG&E outage in Redding that is affecting our tower site atop Shasta Bally. Edit

In Chico, the storm knocked out communications with the site. NSPR engineers are heading to the site to assess damage.

We hope to be back on air as soon as possible and thank you for your patience.
