Three Stabbed, Beaten By Group Of Attackers In Chico

Three people were rushed to Enloe Medical Center after being viciously attacked Saturday morning on a street behind the Nord Avenue Safeway in Chico.

The victims’ injuries were serious. One man was stabbed twice in the back and suffered a broken ankle. A woman was stabbed in the face while her boyfriend was slashed in both hands, pummeled in the face and suffered cracked ribs.

According to Chico police, the incident occurred around 3 a.m. Saturday when 10 to 15 assailants jumped from several cars and attacked the three in front of an apartment complex on the 1000 block of Columbus Avenue. No suspects have been detained.
