The Torres Community Shelter helped more than 200 unhoused people get into permanent housing in 2023. Also, the Butte County Board of Supervisors OK’d staff to initiate the process of putting a one-cent sales tax on the November ballot, and a new 66-unit housing complex for disabled unhoused residents is moving forward in Chico.

And moderate to heavy rainfall is possible over the Park Fire burn scar today and tomorrow.
