Baird Hersey : The Practice Of Nada Yoga - Meditation On The Inner Sacred Sound

Baird Hersey is a musician and National Endowment of the Arts Composition Fellow.  A student of yoga and overtone singing since 1988, he studied ashtanga yoga with Sri Pattabhi Jois for 9 years.   In this book he writes about the ancient practice of nada yoga -- a journey from the noise of the external world to a place of inner peace.  He explains the first three levels of sound: how to truly ear ordinary sounds, now to quiet the mind, and ow to access visual sounds.

In 2000 he formed the 9-voice overtone choir Prana.

Nancy Wiegman has a master's degree in French linguistics from Indiana University and taught yoga and foreign languages at CSU Fresno and the College of Charleston before moving to Chico in 1990.
