Internet and/or electricty to the NSPR transmitter site atop Shasta bally is down, and our signal is off air. We are working the service providers to diagnose the problems and see if a remote fix is available. We apologize for the outages.

We have been having technical difficulties with our audio delivery system for KFPR -- 88.9 FM in Redding and its translators in Dunsmuir, Burney and Mt. Shasta -- due to extreme weather conditions atop Shasta Bally.
We regret that these issues have been causing sporadic audio dropouts during some of our programs. We are working on a long-term solution, but the introduction of new equipment must wait until the Park Service opens the road and the site is accessible.
This usually doesn't happen until the spring after snow melts and road repairs are made. We apologize for the service interruptions and thank you for your patience.
