NPR Tiny Desk Contest is celebrating its 10th anniversary. If you're a local band or artist from the North State, you could win a chance to play your very own Tiny Desk Concert at NPR's headquarters. Submissions are now open through Feb. 21, 2024.
Contest Details:
- You must be 18 years of age or older and live in the U.S.
- They are looking for undiscovered talent; you can't have a current recording contract.
- Create a new video that shows you playing one song you've written — no covers, no sampling.
- Find a desk! You need to perform the song at a desk of some sort. (Official rules here)
- Upload your video to YouTube and then submit your entry to the Tiny Desk website.
- Take this quiz to see if you're eligible.
If you win:
- Play a Tiny Desk concert at NPR in Washington, D.C.
- Be featured on NPR’s All Things Considered
- Headline NPR Music's Tiny Desk Contest On The Road tour
- Be paired with a mentor in the music industry
