In this wide-ranging recital, cellist Anthoni Luigi Polcari and pianist Alda Turgieva explore both well-known and obscure works for cello/piano duo - from Borodin's 'Cello Sonata in b minor' and Chopin's famous 'Nocturne in E flat' to the ferocious Kapustin 'Nearly Waltz' and Sarasate's 'Zigeunerwiesen'. Though rarely performed, these pieces are hidden gems of the cello repertoire and will certainly provide both exhilaration and exquisite sonorities.
