PAS Presents: Young Musicians' Classical Showcase
Outstanding young musicians playing violin, viola, cello, and piano will be showcased in the Performing Arts Society’s free monthly concert at 7:30 p.m. on April 14th at Pilgrim Congregational Church, 2850 Foothill Blvd, Redding, CA 96001.
These skillful students will perform a variety of pieces from Baroque, Classical, and Romantic eras. Violinists Sasha Iwabuchi, Gracie Benham, Allie Braito, James Johnston, and Kellie McGee will play concertos by Kabalevsky and Haydn, Bach solo violin Partitas, and a work by Sarasate.
The hauntingly beautiful Elgar cello concerto and a Beethoven viola/cello duet will be performed by violist Fin Havnen and cellist Jazzmine Tiefenbach. Pianists Sophia Hackler, Allie Braito, and Aidan Rogers will take on works by beloved Romantic period composers Liszt and Chopin.
The students are from the studios of Li-Yuan (Lisa) Ho, Joel Quivey, Anthoni Polcari, Michal Palzewicz, Corrie Taillon, Dr. Sharon Mann and Dr. Robert Bowman. The show will be live and livestreamed, and also available online at the PAS YouTube channel: youtube.com/PASRedding
