The Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza has been detected in birds within Butte County. This is amid growing concerns from health officials of the rapid spread of the virus in poultry and cattle across California.

The Butte County Homeless Continuum of Care has scheduled its 2025 Point in Time Count and is now looking for volunteers to help. The report looks at the demographics and number of individuals experiencing homelessness in a single day in the county.
