North State police chiefs have different approaches to deportations | Dixie Fire homeowners assistance | Street lamps vs. dark skies

The latest North State and California news on our airwaves for Friday, Feb. 21.

In today’s episode:

NSPR asked 14 police chiefs in the North State about what role they’ll play in immigration enforcement. Half of them responded, and this is what they said.

Also, homeowners impacted by the Dixie Fire can receive financial assistance from the California Department of Housing and Community Development.

Plus, many Chico residents feel unsafe walking at night due to a lack of street lamps. But some advocates say steps need to be taken to keep our skies dark at night.
