After the better part of eight years, Brian Terhorst has officially taken his leave from the station. He is out on disability retirement.
Terhorst lives with a rare condition called Pompe Disease. He uses a wheelchair and deals with respiratory difficulties. But a treatment regimen he began two years ago has at the very least halted worsening of his symptoms.
He’ll certainly now have more time to spend time with his wife Gail and service dog Playa.
Brian led the station through many projects and transitions — including the recent change in logo and website — and will continue to support the station in his retirement. He said he is very proud of all the work this team has been able to do in his time here.
Brian leaves the station on good terms and with good friends. Chico State Director of University Public Events Stephen Cummins is acting manager.
