Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting of an African American man in South Oroville, early Wednesday afternoon.
According to information provided by the Butte County Sheriff’s Office, the victim was struck in the leg as he and another man jumped out of a car, being driven by two other men. The car was described as a green, four-door sedan with a tan interior of an unknown make or model. The car reportedly had a child safety seat in the back. The incident occurred shortly before 2 p.m.
