A 110 acre grass fire is burning about 10 miles southeast of the community of Ravendale in Lassen County. The Shinn Fire is located at Shinn Peak and was sparked during a thunderstorm Tuesday night. At last report it was 60% contained. Fire crews are also working on two smaller lightning sparked fires in the area. They are about an acre and a tenth of an acre in size.

· In Plumas County residents of Portola, Doyle, Janesville and surrounding areas should be cautious of an increase in fire vehicle traffic on the roadways, as fire fighters continue to mop up 25 small lightning started fires in the Plumas National Forest. The fires were sparked over the weekend during a series of thunderstorms. They’re being called the Beckwourth Lightning Complex and have all been contained at fewer than 2 acres.

Fire crews are continuing to make progress on three other California fires.
· The 31,000 acre Lake Fire, east of San Bernardino is now 65% contained – up from 60% Tuesday.
· The 18,000 acre Washington Fire, south of Lake Tahoe is now 66% contained – up from 56% Tuesday. All state highways in the fire area are now reopened, but some secondary roads off State Highway 4 and State Highway 89 remained closed.
· The 320 acre Mesa Fire in Santa Barbara County is currently 95% contained. The fire started Monday afternoon near the city of Lompoc. It’s expected to be fully contained at 6 pm Wednesday evening.
