Thursday, Oct. 22, is Arts and Culture Day at NSPR! Today we will be featuring many local talents and arts ambassadors from throughout the North State.
Join host Nancy Wiegman at 10 a.m. for a special episode of Nancy's Bookshelf featuring Chico resident Silvia Bowersox, an Army veteran who first went to Iraq in 2003 as a broadcast journalist and whose book of prose and poetry, "Triggers," is based on her three tours of duty there, and award-winning NPR correspondent Tom Gjelten, who has written a book that is part political history, part intimate social narrative, and part economic and cultural analysis called “A Nation of Nations: A Great American Immigration Story."
