North Valley Art League is honored to present "Noreen Braithwaite - A Lifetime of Art and Science." Noreen was active with the Redding Museum of Art and Natural History as well as the Carter House Science Museum before those collections were move to Turtle Bay. She was a ceramic artist and experimented with Native American firing techniques on her pottery. She was also a botanical illustrator and collaborated with Gary Matson on several books about native plants. This show will include pottery and illustrations as well as photos documenting her firing process. Art League members' work will also be on display. Show runs February 28-March 30. Opening Reception is Friday, March 1 from 5-7:00PM.
