The Northern California Veterans Museum and Heritage Center finally has a place to call home.
Director Rob Burroughs said that escrow closed Thursday on 6.5 acres of property overlooking Interstate 5 on Rhonda Road between Anderson and Cottonwood.
The museum has been without a permanent home ever since new ownership evicted the veterans from their Airport Road building in Redding.
Burroughs says that he expecting to hold a groundbreaking ceremony sometime next year.
The property cost the museum $345,000.
The museum offices and a limited display are currently housed inside of Eagles Landing on Bechelli Lane.
