Grass Valley is losing its DMV office, at least temporarily. The California Department of Motor Vehicles announced that effective noon on Friday, Aug. 28, the office will be no more.
A replacement facility is scheduled to open at the current location in 2017. A temporary office at 435 Sutton Way opens September 14.
Those needing DMV services between Friday and the 14th are urged to use the DMV’s website or to visit offices in Auburn, Rocklin or Yuba City.
