Deputies in Butte County are still searching for a second suspect more than a week after authorities arrested a man allegedly linked to a rash of burglaries and vehicle break-ins.
Authorities detained 24-year-old Marcus Meyers in the Forest Ranch area of Butte County after finding him with a loaded, allegedly stolen handgun while driving an allegedly stolen vehicle.
A search of two locations in Paradise turned up a second stolen vehicle, along with jewelry, tools and other firearms that were all reportedly stolen.
Meyers was connected with eight reported thefts including burglaries and thefts from vehicles in Chico, Durham, Gridley and Oroville. Additional property allegedly missing in the thefts has not been recovered.
