Democratic voters are returning ballots at a faster pace than Republicans in Butte County.
Clerk-Recorder Candace Grubbs says her office has received 24,000 Democratic ballots, and about 20,000 Republican ballots.
“That is the same pattern that is leading nationwide — that more are coming back from Democrat voters than Republicans.” Grubbs said.
Voter enthusiasm is high for the November 3rd election.
Grubbs says about 60,000 ballots have been returned so far, and the county’s turnout could reach 80 percent.
