A grand jury in Georgia has indicted Donald Trump for his role in failed efforts to overturn the state's 2020 election results, implicating the former president as the head of a sweeping conspiracy to subvert his defeat.

Here's what we're following:

  • Fani Willis: The Fulton County District Attorney took questions from the press, including on when the trial might get underway.
  • Co-defendants: Onetime Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani; former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows; and a number of so-called fake electors were also charged by the grand jury.
  • History, again: This is the fourth indictment for the former president, who is currently leading the GOP primary race.
