FILM + THEATER

The Voice of Hind Rajab

  • The Pageant Theatre
  • Friday, Jan. 30 through Sunday, Feb. 1

The film recounts the actual events surrounding 6-year-old Hind Rajab's desperate plea for assistance while she was confined within a vehicle, amidst heavy gunfire in Gaza.

Personnel from the Palestine Red Crescent Society maintained continuous telephone contact with her as they diligently sought a means of safe retrieval. However, their efforts were frustrated by obstructions, notably checkpoints established by the Israeli Defense Forces, rendering a safe withdrawal route unlikely.
