Recovery after a disaster like the Camp Fire is a long and arduous process, but there are organizations that are in the area and working to make that process a little easier. One of those organizations is United Policyholders. The nonprofit is currently working with those who had insured homes that were damaged or destroyed in the Camp Fire.

Earlier this week NSPR’s Sarah Bohannon spoke with Maitreya Badami the organization’s local coordinator about its Roadmap To Recovery program for the Camp Fire and its upcoming “Learning From Experience: Surviving The Wildfire Recovery Process” event where survivors from other wildfires will share their recovery stories.

The event will take place at 6 p.m., Thurs, July 18 at the Masonic Family Center in Chico, 1110 W. East Ave.
