Updated 8 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24

As of 7 a.m. this morning, the #CampFire, which began as a vegetation fire on Nov. 8, has burned through 153, 336 acres and is 95 percent contained.

More than 19, 000 structures have been destroyed, almost 14, 000 of those were homes. The number of unaccounted for persons now decreased to 475. The total number of fatalities is 84.

All containment lines continue to hold around the fire. The 5 percent of the fire that remains uncontained is located in steep and rugged terrain where it is unsafe for firefighters to access due to the heavy rains. Currently there are no structures listed as threatened.

Fire suppression repair personnel continue to assess areas for rehabilitation and conduct repair where possible. Search and Rescue Crews and engine companies continue to assist the Butte County Sheriff’s Office with search efforts.
