Friday during our fall 2015 membership drive is North State Suds and Spirits Day, featuring guests and prizes revolving around everything from Sierra Nevada and craft beer to local wineries and watering holes.
Friday challenges include:
- 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Mike Ramsey, Butte County district attorney, who will conduct his annual $1,500 Lien on a Lawyer Challenge
- 4-6 p.m.: $500 Lynn King New Member Challenge

- 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.: Dave Schlom, host of The Blue Dot Report, with a special show on beer brewing with longtime Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.'s brewmaster Terence Sullivan. With nearly 19 years at Sierra Nevada, Terence started as a shift brewer, moved on to cellar manager—overseeing all fermentation and yeast handling—and now works in Product Development where he and his team build beers and brands from the ground up. Terence has a Fermentation Science Degree from UC Davis and for two decades has been instrumental in the brewing process at Sierra Nevada.
