Gordon Telepun joins host Dave Schlom to discuss the Titan submersible implosion that killed five people, including Ocean Gate CEO and pilot Stockton Rush, in 2023.
Rush appeared on Blue Dot in 2019 to talk about his plans to build a small fleet of submersibles to give the public and researchers access to the deep sea including the wreck of the Titanic in the North Atlantic where the Titan disaster occurred.. Telepun has exhaustively researched the disaster using testimony and evidence from the U.S. Coast Guard's inquiry and hearings held in 2024 to produce a book, Titan: To The Titanic and Back 13 1/2 Times.
