North State veterans speak out against VA job cuts | Bidwell Mansion arsonist sentenced to 11 years in prison | Regional cancer center to expand treatment

The latest North State and California news on our airwaves for Thursday, March 6.

In today’s episode:

The Trump administration says it plans to fire 70,000 Veterans Affairs (VA) employees and that doesn’t sit well with veterans who depend on the medical care the VA delivers.

Also, the man guilty of burning down Bidwell Mansion in Chico appeared in court yesterday and was sentenced to 11 years in prison.

Plus, three cancer treatment centers in Redding are being consolidated into a central location. The Sierra Pacific Regional Cancer Center just broke ground, and plans to open in summer 2026.
