Many residents in the North State are worried about air quality in the region due to smoke from the fire. NSPR spoke with Lisa Almaguer, with the Butte County Public Health Department, about how to stay safe.

Also, some residents of Forest Ranch do not have access to drinkable water following the Park Fire. Many have had their water shut off entirely, while others are under a boil advisory. That’s because the water could be contaminated by benzine, a carcinogen released from superheated pipes. We hear from water operator John Graham who contracts with providers in the area.

And we’ve been speaking with those evacuated from the fire. In this episode we hear from Paradise resident Beth Spellman about her experience of recently moving to the area and now being close to wildfire.
