Shasta County residents who’ve been affected by the Fawn Fire will have a centralized location to go for recovery resources starting Friday. The Local Assistance Center will offer fire survivors a slew of resources to aid in their recovery.

The Fawn Fire continues to burn north of Redding, fueled by high winds and dry conditions. A red flag warning is in effect until 8 p.m. Tuesday, indicating weather with a high potential to create and spread new fires. NSPR's Alec Stutson spoke with Cal Fire Public Information Officer David Clark about what residents can expect in the coming days.

As of Friday morning, more than 25 buildings have been destroyed and the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office has issued mandatory evacuations for several areas north of the city of Redding.
