Governor Newsom signs dozens of housing bills and announces $2.2 billion in Prop 1 funding for housing and services

Shasta County Supervisors voted to increase their compensation by around $30,000 this week. Also, counties, cities, tribes and private developers will soon have funds to build more behavioral health treatment centers in California, and the 50th anniversary of Red Bluff’s car show will take place over the weekend.

Also, California State University student assistants are unionizing, and California lawmakers are trying to push utilities like PG&E toward more cost-effective wildfire safety improvements.
